"Easy cluster computing"

Beolive is a management software for Linux cluster that makes the technology easy to use. It is thought to make the clusters installation, the administration and the cluster use easier, through an easy and intuitive user interface. It is a modular software, with several modules dedicated to different activities (monitoring, nodes setup, user management, processes...).

Thanks to a considerable developed expertise working alongside HPC systems users, we developed an easy-to-use software that answer the real users' requirements. However, Beolive has been designed to be adaptable and easily customised by adding new functionalities on demand.

Beolive is different because it is also a cluster user oriented software, it is not only useful for the administrator. With Beolive shell Linux language knowledge is not required, data management and computing applications can be launched by the mouse, by using simple guided graphical panels.

Main advantages

• An intuitive graphical interface: Beolive offers an ergonomic and intuitive working environment, it is locally installed on your computer and it has a windowed user interface fast and easy to use.
• A simplified cluster administration: common administration routine can be carried out through guided and intuitive graphical panels (workload monitoring, software images installation on nodes, user accounts management...), the whole remotely operating from your computer or from any other computer connected to the cluster.
• A simplified cluster use: the user can share files from and to the cluster, verify computing resources capacity, launch the user's own job and control the flow, the whole working from his or her computer using a friendly and intuitive graphical interface.
• A high instruments integration: all Beolive instruments are integrated and easy to access, it is possible to work only with the mouse but if you want you can also work with the shell module.
• Multiple clusters management: Beolive consents different cluster connection creation with different clusters, so that operating from a single position it is possible to control different systems.
• A light architecture: Beolive does not use its own daemons in the cluster nodes execution, it does not affect the performance and reduces to a minimum the network traffic between the cluster and the user's computer.
• An easy installation: Beolive is locally installed on your PC with a simple setup, is Linux, Windows o MAC OSX compatible and it is only required a SSH connection to reach the cluster.

• Cluster info: informative outline about the cluster
• Cluster status: nodes state and workload, with rebooting / halting / starting possibility
• Node setup: installation and restore of the software image on the different nodes
• Users: user account and access management
• File manager: client SFTP for the file transfer and management on the cluster
• Processes: processes management in execution on all nodes
• Torque queues: execution queues configuration with Torque
• Torque jobs: jobs start, monitoring and management with Torque
• Shell: shell Linux on the cluster
