Scientific computing

Aethia offers scientific computing systems and services to industrial and academic research groups, especially for numerical simulations and parallel computing based on computer clusters.

• Computer cluster supply
  According to customer needs we desing, install and configure Linux clusters, delivering computing machines ready to work and fit to provide the required computing power. We also offer all the support and technical services to help the customer to use the cluster.

• Parallel programming
  We realize and develop parallel software applications or establish how they can be parallelized. We evaluate the best relation among message passing, shared memory and other distributed computing paradigms and we do benchmark and scalability studies.
• Training
  We hold training courses for qualified personnel both for cluster administration and management and for parallel programming techniques.
• Computing time supply on clusters
  We offer the use of our own clusters, supplying all the information and training needed for its usage.
• Numerical simulations
  We perform studies and evaluations on customer simulation problems in order to identify, in case develop or adapt, the best mathematical model to simulate the considered phenomena. We also account stability and convergence problems, we predict the required computation data volumes and time and we analyze the possibility of using parallel or sequential architectures.
• Software for scientific applications
  We develop and integrate new software packages and mathematical libraries for numerical computation, in particular for data processing and visualization.

Software development

Aethia designs and develop software applications both for Windows and for Linux OS. For example: acquisition/management data software and/or drives control, web applications, data processing and display.

ICT services

Aethia completes its own offer with computer science wide services, as consulting for carrying out and management of telematic networks, web site/application development, security management and data backup.
